AmsterdamOpent.nl

The municipality of Amsterdam experiments with crowdsourcing on the platform AmsterdamOpent.nl to learn how interaction with civilians can support local policies.

In addition to the website www.amsterdamopent.nl there is also a Facebook application  which allows users with a Facebook profile to submit their ideas by Facebook.

In 2010 AmsterdamOpent already experimented with 3 social crowdsource questions. Currently there are two questions asked on AmsterdamOpent.nl. These are linked to another Smart City project, AppsforAmsterdam. The questions are to come up with ideas on apps, that make the city smarter, and which data is needed (for those apps).

After the evaluation of current pilot with two questions other civil servants will be offered to ask their questions on the platform. They will then be supported by civil servants who are currently involved as learning partners.
