Zuidoost - Energetic Zuidoost

Energiek Zuidoost wants to reduce the ecological footprint of roughly the area between Amsterdam Arena and the hospital AMC. Together with local companies, housing corporations and inhabitants project are developed which lead to reduction of carbon emissions, as part of the European project TRANSFORM. An important value of Zuidoost is the possible reach of thousands of people, just think about the people passing by in train, and visitors to the area to work, shop and enjoy themselves. The presence of empty offices, datacenters, the big hospital and the abundance of flat roofs are promising for the area as an ‘energyproduction landscape’. To support an open and innovative way of thinking, service design thinking workshops are organized.
