De Slimme Stad - Slimme beleidsontwikkeling en data

Steden staan niet los van elkaar. Nieuwere generaties verkeersdeelnemers vinden het normaal om te werken in een andere stad dan waar ze wonen. Maar ook hun vrienden, familie en sociale activiteiten bevinden zich steeds vaker in andere steden. Waar precies en welke belangrijke verkeersstromen levert dit op? En hoe kunnen we hierop beleid ontwikkelen? Tot voor kort waren we voor de antwoorden op dit soort vragen aangewezen op verkeersmodellen of statistieken als het OViN. Deze zijn echter (vaak) niet geschikt om verkeersbewegingen multimodaal in kaart te brengen. Of van jaar op jaar de ontwikkelingen te monitoren. Laat staan om betrouwbare uitspraken mee te doen. Kunnen nieuwe technieken en big data afkomstig uit bijvoorbeeld GSM, GPS, data fusion en image processing hier uitkomst bieden...

Kunnen nieuwe technieken en big data afkomstig uit bijvoorbeeld GSM, GPS, data fusion en image processing hier uitkomst bieden? Op een kleiner schaalniveau, wegvakken en kruisingen, zijn we al snel aangewezen op microsimulatie. Vaak ingewikkelde, tijdrovende en kostbare analyses. Kunnen nieuwe technieken en big data helpen het verkeer in goede banen te leiden; op strategisch, tactisch en operationeel niveau? Na enkele korte informatieve inleidingen willen we tijdens deze middag verkennen welke vragen u beantwoord wilt zien en hoe deze technieken hieraan bij zouden kunnen dragen. Voor wie?

Het programma is interessant voor medewerkers van gemeenten, provincies, stadsregio’s, het Rijk, reizigersorganisaties en openbaarvervoerbedrijven. Let op: CROW-KpVV kan besluiten dat deelname niet mogelijk is, bijvoorbeeld als blijkt dat bepaalde groepen oververtegenwoordigd zijn of als het maximum aantal deelnemers overschreden wordt. Medewerkers van decentrale overheden krijgen voorrang.

Innovation expo

The Innovation Expo accerelates innovation, thus encouraging economic growth and quality of life in The Netherlands. It consists of both the biennial event and the accompanying network of more than 4000 entrepreneurs, policy makers, academics and engaged citizens. Together they work towards technical breakthroughs and innovations that will make a difference in the future. The next event, the closing day of the sixth edition of the Innovation Expo, will take place on April 14th 2016 and will focus on ‘Sustainable Urban Delta’. In the run up to the event, there will be a search for innovations that can be further stimulated. The Innovation Expo connects and inspires (future) innovative initiators. It offers a stage for concrete projects that contribute to smart, sustainable and social cities of the future. It crosses the borders of different sectors and connects public to private.

At the European Beyond Data Event all the communities and stakeholders from around the world come together to share experiences and enthusiasm, shape innovative ideas and tackle problems. The front running realized cases within Europe, are up on the stage. During the Beyond Data Event we talk about implemented projects, collaborations and outcomes. And which next steps this can lead to. Examples from cities , industries, research institutions but also innovative start ups challenge the early adopters for new insights. But also organizations who are researching the options of setting up an open data project, achieve lots of information and inspiring thoughts to get started. Amsterdam Smart City is one of the partners of this event...
