With the Urbanisation Forum, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce is presenting a new series of annual forums aimed to bring together business people, politicians and other influential individuals who wish to share experiences, supply information on their respective areas and bring about high value networking. The theme has a specific focus on the global challenge as a direct result of the physical growth of cities

More than half of the world’s population is living in urban areas and cities are set to be the future global economic engines. As the urban areas are rapidly expanding, there are several crucial challenges that must be addressed, creating a huge demand for energy solutions and infrastructure that will connect the city and make it more inclusive and sustainable. With our first Urbanisation Forum The Swedish Chamber of Commerce aims to discuss these issues and explore the challenges of today as well as the challenges of the future. With insights from Sweco, Volvo Bus, IKEA, SPACE10 and other experts from The Swedish Delegation for Circular Economy, we will explore how urbanisation challenges are to be solved by implementing the latest innovations and technologies.

Doe dan mee met de Marineterrein Last Mile Challenge en grijp je kans om zes weken gratis te testen op Marineterrein Amsterdam!

In steden wordt continu gewerkt om leefbaarheid en verkeersstromen te verbeteren. Door de wegopbrekingen die hier soms voor nodig zijn kunnen delen van de stad tijdelijk moeilijk bereikbaar zijn. Als parkeren in de buurt niet kan, hoe zorgen we dan dat mensen hun bestemming bereiken?

Deel je idee
Met de Marineterrein Last Mile Challenge doen we een oproep aan iedereen die een goed idee heeft om de bereikbaarheid te verbeteren en dit wil testen. Vanaf zondag 23 februari is het door werkzaamheden aan de Kattenburgerstraat niet meer mogelijk om te parkeren buiten de poort van het Marineterrein. Een ideaal moment om te experimenteren met oplossingen voor de last mile.

Wat zoeken wij?
Wij zijn op zoek naar innovatieve ideeën die het Marineterrein bereikbaar houden tijdens de wegwerkzaamheden. Dit kan zowel over de weg als over het water zijn, en moet een oplossing bieden aan tijdelijke problemen met de bereikbaarheid: Makkelijk te implementeren, en makkelijk te beëindigen. Als jouw idee gekozen wordt, krijg je de kans dit vanaf eind februari/begin maart gedurende zes weken te testen. De operationele kosten worden vergoed. Houd er dus rekening mee dat je ook snel moet kunnen starten. Stuur je innovatieve idee vóór 21 februari 16.00 uur in via dit formulier!

Alles op een rijtje:
- Last Mile Challenge: Wie heeft de beste oplossing om de tijdelijke last mile soepel te overbruggen?
- We zoeken oplossingen die vernieuwend zijn, in de vorm van hardware, een platform of samenwerking.
- Fietstaxi’s en andere reguliere commerciële activiteiten zijn uitgesloten van deelname.
- Gratis testen op dé plek voor experimenteren op het gebied van stedelijke vraagstukken.
- Gratis exposure en koppeling met gemeente Amsterdam/Chief Technology Office.
- Testduur tot ten minste 20 april.
- Inschrijven kan tot 21 februari, 16.00 uur.

Selectie
Een commissie kiest uit alle inzendingen het beste idee. De commissie bestaat uit:
- Thijs Meijer, adjunct-directeur en procesmanager van Bureau Marineterrein Amsterdam.
- Pim Stevens, projectleider Marineterrein Amsterdam Living Lab.
- Gerben Mienis, thematrekker Last Mile oplossingen.
- Joshua Serrão, innovation officer bij Chief Technology Office, gemeente Amsterdam.

Op basis van een eerste selectie volgt een pitchronde, waarbij de geselecteerde ideeën gepresenteerd worden aan deze commissie. De winnaar wordt vervolgens op korte termijn gekozen, zodat bezoekers van het Marineterrein zo snel mogelijk gebruik kunnen maken van het gekozen idee!

Hoe zorgen we ervoor dat grote evenementen in 2020, zoals SAIL, goed te bereiken zijn? De Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort, UEFA 2020 en SAIL 2020 in Amsterdam. Verschillende grote, internationale events vinden in 2020 plaats in Nederland. Er worden honderdduizenden mensen verwacht die naar deze evenementen komen. Hiervoor moet een stad of gebied om kunnen gaan met een grote massa mensen. Hoe zorgen we dat grote evenementen bereikbaar zijn, en welke manieren van reizen zijn daarvoor beschikbaar? Welke innovaties kunnen hierbij helpen?

Een van de oplossingen om bereikbaarheid te garanderen is crowd monitoring. De Johan Cruijff ArenA ontwikkelde het Mobility Portal. Hiermee is het mogelijk om gefragmenteerde verkeersinformatie in het ArenAPoort-gebied op eenduidige manier te presenteren. Daarmee willen ze het verkeer beter spreiden. Wat is het precies? De Mobility Portal is in feite een online platform waarop de bezoekers alles over het vervoer kunnen vinden van en naar het gebied toe. Je voert je postcode in, dan weten zij waar je vandaan komt. Op basis hiervan meten ze de verkeersintensiteit en kunnen ze mensen via nieuwe routes naar het gebied laten komen. Als resultaat hopen ze dat dit opstoppingen in het verkeer tegengaat.

Maurits van Hövell, consultant Mobility & Environment bij de Johan Cruijff ArenA, staat op het podium tijdens ons programma in Pakhuis de Zwijger. Maurits zal in gesprek gaan over de voorbereidingen van EURO 2020 qua bereikbaarheid en hoe de mobility portal ook bij andere grote evenementen een rol kan spelen.

Hoe zorgen we ervoor dat grote evenementen in 2020, zoals SAIL, goed te bereiken zijn?
De Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort, UEFA 2020 en SAIL 2020 in Amsterdam. Verschillende grote, internationale events vinden in 2020 plaats in Nederland. Er worden honderdduizenden mensen verwacht die naar deze evenementen komen. Hiervoor moet een stad of gebied om kunnen gaan met een grote massa mensen. Hoe zorgen we dat grote evenementen bereikbaar zijn, en welke manieren van reizen zijn daarvoor beschikbaar? Welke innovaties kunnen hierbij helpen? Samen met partners van Amsterdam Smart City gaan we in gesprek over de bereikbaarheid van grote evenementen zoals SAIL2020.

Worden de jaren 2020 het decennium van duurzame mobiliteit? Is de sector in 2029 eindelijk duurzaam? Halen wij de doelen van het klimaatakkoord en wat is de impact op de bereikbaarheid van de stad? Met de verlaging van de maximumsnelheid overdag naar 100 km/u, de agenda Amsterdam autoluw, de elektrificatie van het OV en de 10 seconden dienstregeling lijkt de toon gezet. Maar wat valt verder te verwachten? Dit alles in de nieuwste editie van de Mobiliteit Show; een wervelende talkshow voor alle liefhebbers van fietsen, auto's, treinen en logistiek.

The European Union wants to be at the forefront of exploring the use of urban airspace. This would drastically change the way we experience our cities. What would this mean for Amsterdam or other European capitals? Are we finally getting the flying car? What is the impact on the livability and the sustainability of our cities? Together with experts from the industry, science, government and the public, we will explore this - not so distant - future.

The future is now. How to build urban aviation? What practical applications of drones are useable now? Nick Cornelissen, a robotica specialist at Waternet, will talk about the use of drones in watermanagement. And Jeroen van den Tweel, a security manager at ProRail, will talk about the use of drones in rail maintenance.

To enable safe, secure and regular drone services in our cities, a new airspace infrastructure is demanded. What are the challenges and possibilities to create a new secure infrastructure for drones in urban areas? How will drones be allowed to move, and how can they be integrated into the social structure? Petra Dalunde, Chief Operating Officer at Kista Science City in Stockholm, will tell us about her research Urban Drone Testbed.

Petra Dalunde, Vassilis Agouridas, AIRBUS and Martijn Lugten, AMS Institute, will discuss the future of urban air mobility.

At the end of the evening I will talk about the perspective of the city of Amsterdam.

Navigating from A to B is an essential part of our daily lives.
Unknown routes, busy places and unexpected obstacles are a big challenge for everyone, regardless of what your eyesight is. For people with a visual impairment, this process is primarily a task because they have limited use of spatial orientation and directions in the environment. The EyeBeacons project investigated how new technologies can support people with a visual impairment when navigating through the city.

Medio december 2019 opent Hely haar tiende mobiliteitshub aan het Summertime complex, wat het eerste Mobility as a Service concept op de Zuidas zal zijn. Met een Hely abonnement kan de gebruiker diverse soorten deelvervoer van verschillende aanbieders huren via één app. Hierdoor kan de consument ieder moment op zijn ideale manier van a naar b komen.

Hely is de snelst groeiende MaaS-aanbieder van Nederland, met negen mobiliteitshubs in zes grote steden binnen anderhalf jaar. In december dit jaar opent Hely haar tiende hub op de Zuidas. Deze Hely Hub zal uitgerust worden met diverse soorten deelvervoer van Hely’s mobiliteitspartners, waaronder MyWheels en Urbee. Zo komen er verschillende soorten auto’s, e-bikes en elektrische bakfietsen. De diversiteit aan vervoermiddelen en de directe verbinding met het openbaar vervoer helpt de reiziger met het samenstellen van zijn ideale reis, zonder gedoe met verschillende apps en accounts.

ALL-IN
Een Hely abonnement geeft toegang tot alle vervoermiddelen en hubs van Hely binnen dezelfde stad. In Amsterdam bijvoorbeeld heeft Hely naast de Zuidas nog twee hubs, welke allemaal toegankelijk zijn met hetzelfde abonnement. Naast een kleine abonnementsprijs van €4,95 per maand betaalt de gebruiker per vervoermiddel een vast uurtarief. In tegenstelling tot veel mobiliteitsaanbieders, biedt Hely een all-in concept: geen borg, geen extra kilometer- of servicekosten en brandstof is altijd inbegrepen. Zo weet de gebruiker altijd waar hij aan toe is, ongeacht het vervoermiddel dat hij kiest.

MAAS VOOR BEDRIJVEN
Naast MaaS voor de consument, biedt Hely ook een zakelijk product aan: Hely For Business. Met een Hely For Business account kan een bedrijf al haar medewerkers van mobiliteit voorzien en toch besparen op kosten en CO2-uitstoot. Met deelvervoer worden de voertuigen namelijk veel efficiënter ingezet, waardoor minder vervoermiddelen en parkeerplekken nodig zijn. Bovendien kan dit bedrijven ook helpen met af komen van vele langdurige leasecontracten en stilstaande wagenparken. Met de komst van Hely Hub Zuidas hoopt Hely nog meer bedrijven te kunnen helpen met het efficiënter en duurzamer inrichten van hun mobiliteit.

I am Benjamin, master’s graduated in Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics at VU Amsterdam. I am interested in smart city projects, related to energy, mobility and city development.
I have knowledge in data analysis and environmental & urban economics as I’ve worked in related projects in Chile, such as the implementation of the first 100 electric public transport buses in Latin-America and the renovation of abandoned public spaces in Santiago. Also, I am currently working part-time as a researcher in a project called Leave Fossil Fuels Underground at UvA.

Op dinsdagmiddag 10 December 2019 vindt het eindseminar plaats van het onderzoeksproject EyeBeacons: Wayfinding in Public Spaces. Dit project is onder eindverantwoordelijkheid van Joey van der Bie uitgevoerd, onderzoeker bij Digital Life | Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Tijdens dit eindseminar wordt u bijgepraat hoe EyeBeacons mensen met een visuele beperking kunnen ondersteunen bij het navigeren in de openbare ruimte. Daarmee wordt een verbetering bewerkstelligd in hun mobiliteit, onafhankelijkheid en sociale participatie.

Diverse perspectieven op mobiliteit zijn hard nodig om samen tot goede toekomstbestendige oplossingen te komen. Vind je ook dat een congres programmering met een all-male line-up wel heel 2018 is? Het openbare laadnetwerk is de afgelopen tien jaar uitgegroeid naar ruim 3.000 laadpunten in de stad. De verwachting is dat het aantal Amsterdamse e-rijders sterk zal stijgen in de komende jaren. Bij de verdere uitbreiding van het laadnetwerk neemt de Gemeente graag de ervaringen mee van Amsterdamse e-rijders.

Daarom organiseren we een bijeenkomst. Als u in Amsterdam woont en in een elektrische auto rijdt (of in de afgelopen 10 jaar reed) dan bent u van harte uitgenodigd! We horen graag meer over uw ervaringen en behoeftes rondom het openbare laadnetwerk.

We vertellen over de ontwikkeling van het Amsterdamse laadnetwerk en gaan graag met u in gesprek met vragen als: Hoe verliep bij u de omschakeling naar elektrisch vervoer? Kunt u altijd laden bij u in de buurt? Wat heeft de toekomstige E-rijder nodig? Wat is de impact van de groei van het aantal elektrische rijders en het netwerk op de openbare ruimte? Graag luisteren we naar uw ervaringen.

Dan zelf op en neer naar Gent of Stuttgart .. maar waar moet je dan zijn en hoe zit het met de wet- en regelgeving daar? Heb je daar rekening mee te houden? …. Misschien toch nog even wachten dan… je moet dit eerst uitzoeken en dat kost tijd … ‘At the end zie ik dus veel goede initiatieven stranden en dat is jammer’ aldus Jochem ‘want we hebben zoveel gave producten die zeker hun plek op de internationale markt verdienen’. Daarom organiseert Createness de Go Abroad Day.
De Go Abroad Day is een vernieuwd concept om je bedrijf export klaar te stomen. In het programma op de Go Abroad Day staat actie en interactie centraal.
