Master's thesis: Looking for interviewees involved in Schoonschip project

Greetings everyone, my name is Rhea and i am pursuing my master's in Urban Management and Development.
I am currently writing my thesis on decentralised smart energy systems accelerating neighbourhood circularity (through the case of Schoonschip, Amsterdam), aiming for an integrated result in the energy and circularity transition as well as to fill the gap in literature about neighbourhood circularity.
Consequently, I am looking to interview people who were involved in the Schoonschip project, including experts, project developers, community members, municipality etc. The interview would be focusing on conditions such as technological, economic, institutional, socio-cultural and environmental (depending on the interviewee's background) associated with the development of Schoonschip and its energy systems. Your valuable insights will be fully acknowledged in the final publication.

Kindly contact me if you are willing to contribute to my research or if you know someone who could help me out. I would be grateful! Thanks in advance!

Empty work space buildings towards living work space

From this covid19 pandemic, many company buildings will become unoccupied due to termination of corporations and job layoffs. It offers great opportunities for new Dutch real estate management to make buildings smarter, better, safer, cleaner, and if possible to fill the office buildings with temporary living space.

Looking for people to help find buildings with: empty workspace with transition towards new work & living space transition options
example existing transformation office building with hotel living space at office (full kitchen and bathroom) https://roundme.com/tour/369948/view/1263081/

Looking for people with new SMART ideas to help transform empty work spaces towards new, abd safe areas with clean toilet/shower. (e.g. office space towards temp student dorm)
Would be great if you have experience with real estate anti squatting, government license, property management for empty buildings/leegstandsbeheer.
Please contact me at info(at)pursangroyal.com or call met at 06 53240595
Our goal is to create a better solution to transform work space towards feasible solutions for clients.
The process : contact prospects, photo shoot 3 D spaces and draw solutions, write a short transition plan with option to fill empty work space
You will get paid per project, and travel cost will be covered. As well, you need to be able to speak well with prospects face to face, and have great judgement concerning safety, government license necessity, and feasibility for the clients.

Please look at this event as well, which has a great source of new living space ideas Meet-up: wonen op het Marineterrein

wireless audio systems - leisure social distanciation

Hi! I'm in charge of the animation of the guided tour industry in Brussels. The issue is : speaking loud & audible with a mask is not ideal for tours even if you are 6 (usually a guided tour is up to 25 people). I was wondering if you heard about initiatives regarding social distancing between transmitter and receivers, in the context of tour guides (app for wireless audio systems; touchless materials, whispers-audio-systems,...)? In the context of the crisis, I think such technology could be used for many other citizen activity (teacher in a classroom, public (physical) presentation,...).

Vote for Johnny Cashew @Kraak de Crisis

Did you know that your cashew nuts travel 12.500 km more than is required before it hits the shelves in your supermarket? Johnny Cashew sources cashew nuts directly from Africa (Tanzania, to be precise). Our nuts ensure a good price for the farmers, reduced food miles for transport and from the profit we make we plant cashew trees in Tanzania.
Out nuts taste good, look good and do good!
We look for your support to vote for us at Kraak de Crisis, an initiative that supports new ideas to fight the crisis.

With your vote we can get free advice from PWC and, above all, 25.000 euros to kick off!
Lots of love from Johnny Cashew x

Looking for interviewees for Master thesis project.

Hi all! I am Siddharth, a master student at the AMS Institute. For my thesis, I am researching how citizen engagement can contribute to evaluation/assessment of smart city and smart city projects with respect to quality of life. Quality of life is a basic compnent of the smart city but evaluation for quality of life does not happen successfully. How can citizen engagement fill the gap in assessing the smart city and smart projects for quality of life?
If you are a citizen, researcher, project developer, innovator or public official who has any insights or interest in this topic and would like to contribute to my research project please do contact me. I look forward to talking to you!

Expert needed for Interview Bachelor Thesis

Dear members,

My name is Frank and I am a student at the University of Amsterdam.
At the moment, I am working on my thesis for the bachelor Social Geography and Urban Planning at the University of Amsterdam. My research is about the influence of electric cars on urban sprawl. The focus of my research will be on urban sprawl and the increase in automotive mobility and in the increase in efficiency of fuel consumption (both for electric cars and gasoline cars). For this, we have to do some fieldwork and for my thesis I have chosen to do in-depth-interviews.

Are you, or are there in your team people, interested in helping me do my research? Because of the current situation around the corona-virus, the interviews will take place in a different form, for example through Zoom or Skype. These interviews can be conducted in English or Dutch.

Thank you in advance and kind regards,

Participants needed for a fun virtual session about responsible technologies in public spaces.

Do you wish to live in a world where everything you do is being monitored by the government like the world described by George Orwell in his novel 1984 or how about be sent to jail before even committing a crime like in the movie and novel Minority Report? I think not then what kind of world do you want to live in? It is a fact that smart technologies are here and governments usage of them is an inevitable future and if we wish for them to use these technologies responsibly then we must first ourselves must know how they should be used. Come be part of a fun virtual session where I will help you reflect a bit on what you desire from your city and in turn, you help me a design master student with his graduation thesis. To participate you can fill this form: https://form.jotform.com/200902554050039 and for the information, you reach out to me

Interest in joining a smart energy project

Hello all,
I am really eager to get some experience and expand my knowledge in everything involving smart grids, e-mobility (V2G) and low-temperature district heating. From June onwards, I am available to join an exciting and innovative project which I could collaborate with you on!
At this moment, I am in my second semester at Hanze UAS taking the master in Sustainable Energy and I am requesting any input from you all regarding the possibilities of an internship/master thesis host. I have been working on (including right at this moment) an innovative V2G proposal for a car sharing service in Alkmaar, a domestic hydrogen heating business proposal in Hoogeveen and a low-temp district heating project in Meerstad.

Looking forward to hearing from you, fellow collaborator!

Thinking Tech Partner Needed!

Hello community!
Me and 2 colleagues are structuring a circular business here in the Netherlands and we are looking for a tech partner to help us with the creation of an app and develop a communication system that will improve logistics for transportation, all this to boost circularity in our business model. The tech solution we build together will be part of a circular chain project that we will present for governments.
I am more than happy to discuss this further with whoever is interested :)

From social distancing to societal cohesion?

Withdrawal and indifference to difference has been the prerogative of every day since an unpredictable event, an unprecedented Epidemic, knocked on our doors, without it, to distinguish our origins, or our ideologies.

While many finally waited until the notion of “living together” was finally going to become a reality, nature imposed on us a physical and social distancing, to protect our health and that of others.

European can show resilience, even Resistance, in the face of adversity.
As such, while paradoxically, we are forced to distance ourselves, born a great movement of solidarity and communication.

So let us hope that this serious health crisis is a lesson for us, and that once this ordeal is behind us, "the notion of living together with respect for diversity" becomes obvious.
