Data engineering in Practice
Awesome, you've found us! Join us and many fellow data enthusiasts on September 25 to meet, greet, and learn. This Meetup is especially relevant for those interested in data engineering and its applications.
We've invited two external speakers to talk about how they use data engineering in practice, at their companies. You get the chance to ask them questions as well. During the breaks, connect to various other data wizards from all kinds of backgrounds, our Quby employees, and the speakers themselves.

Company: Shipping Technology
Topic: Building real-time 'black boxes' for inland shipping industry.
In 2017 we made an old life vessel sail the canals of Amsterdam autonomously, based on collected data. Based on this project we attempted to do the same for an inland shipping vessel. As the need for more data grows, we needed a product that can collect this data from any ship. Moreover we wanted this product to be flexible and allow for more applications based on the data. Janis will take you through the inner workings of the developed infrastructures.
