In the Smart City, citizens, data and technology are the biggest enablers. That is why Amsterdam Smart City and Datalab joined forces to organize six ‘Smart Data, Smart City’ events in 2017.
On the 18th of May it is time for number 3 in these series! This one is about the Amsterdam Smart City theme Governance & Education.
Smart Data, Smart City #3 - Understanding and usage
How to build knowledge about data? What are the possibilities of data? And how can we incorporate everybody in this development? The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) has been working on projects with students including the visualization of data sets for two years now. Nanda Piersma, senior researcher Big Data at the University of Applied Sciences will unravel the process of building knowledge of data and explain the ins and outs of data management. Topics that will be discussed are for instance ownership, privacy and saving data. To illustrate these possibilities, we will share some interesting current projects in the city.
