Amsterdam Talks: How Welcoming is our City?

Featured image

Join us as we explore ourselves as Amsterdammers and break-down this culture we have of expats vs. locals. We know Amsterdam is a city with freedom at it's heart, but how welcoming is it for our citizens?

● TOPIC
Is an expat a local, and how do we bring about this kind of connection? How do our citizens and neighbours make each other feel? And when do we fully integrate into this city, as one of the Dutchies?

We want to hear how you experience Amsterdam culture: what do you think, and what do you do to welcome your circle and new people into the city? Share your thoughts with us in our fishbowl discussion to end off the night!

● WHEN?
16th of October, 2019. Doors open at 18.30.

● WHERE?
Zoku Amsterdam Rooftop, at Weesperstraat 105, 1018 VN Amsterdam

Founder of Laughing at Potatoes Amsterdam, Summer Souleyman, will shed some light on Amsterdam’s local vs. expat culture, further sharing what he’s gathered from building a bustling expat community in our city.

Founder of Living Improv Academy, Grazyna Frackiewicz, will discuss and show how she uses theatre, improv, and comedy as tools to establish meaningful connections across cultures.
