Please find an update for the third in a series of European updates on the use of the OpenADR protocols for use cases ranging from smart appliances to electric vehicle infrastructure.

Following up on our much appreciated webinar of 15 December 2020, OpenADR Alliance, and our American and European partners will host a webinar and workshop on April 8th. We will discuss the increasing adoption of OpenADR protocols in projects and strategies in the rapidly the evolving energy flexibility sphere.

  • Joseph Levy, Vice President R & D of Driivz, on lessons learned from using OpenADR and large scale EV charging.

  • Azad Camyab, founder of Pearlstone, a UK based Aggregator, on Pearlstone using  OpenADR in supporting the UK’s National Grid in balancing, and how they are enabling renewables into UK's energy mix.

  • Lonneke Driessen from ElaadNL on how grid operators in The Netherlands are developing a smart EV charging infrastructure.

  • Hrvoje Keko from Končar, Croatia, on two H2020 projects - FLEXCoop and HOLISDER - dealing with demand response. One of crucial building blocks for this is the OpenADR protocol.

  • Albert Chui from Pacific Gas & Electricity on how a Californian utility uses OpenADR for Load Management. How can utilities leverage technologies to make it easier for customers to participate in DR programs?
