Felyxoffers shared electric scooters as a new urban mobility concept. Our convenient and affordable scooters can be located and activated through an app and parked at any destination ("free-floating"). Our concept solves current urban mobility issues and combines possibilities and opportunities of new technologies, sharing economy, and sustainability.
What is the goal of the project?
E-scooter sharing is one of the best urban transportation methods as an alternative for the use of cars. Our concept solves current mobility issues and combines possibilities and opportunities of new technology, sharing economy, and sustainability.
- Fast: bypass traffic and go directly from A to B
- Convenient: no waiting and drive yourself
- Green: zero-emission long-range e-scooters
What is the result of the project?
Our aim to reduce usage and ownership of polluting means of transportation, like non-electric cars, taxis, and scooters within dense urban areas. Felyx wants to improve air quality and mobility.
Who initiated the project and which organizations are involved?
Our current team consists of co-founders Maarten Poot and Quinten Selhorst, both living in Amsterdam. Together with our informal investors (all former successful entrepreneurs) and our board of advisors we form the core team.
Helmstadt is our operational partner who does the maintenance and repairs of our scooters. Govecs, the leading European manufacture of e-scooters, is our supplier of E-scooters.
What is the next step?
We completed a seed round of €400k and are currently funding the purchase of additional e-scooters through our website www.felyx.nl/invest, offering a loan with 6% interest.
What can other cities learn from your project?
Focus on your core strengths, and find expertise in those fields you are not an expert in.
@maartenpoot and @quintenselhorst I am curious too! Can you share some of the latest developments?
Absolutely great initiative, I am an avid user! But I understand that the project might have to stop, can you say anything about that? And how can we help to keep this initiative alive and growing?
great initiative! I think this will make faster transport accessible to more people and I believe this will improve the accessibility of business districts from the city centre.
