Lowering total cost of ownership of EVs through battery evaluation

In order to reduce the total cost of ownership of electric buses and trucks, ViriCiti and Fraunhofer IVI conducted research on extending battery life of electric buses and trucks through changing operational aspects. Extended battery life is important because it ultimately lowers the TCO of your electric fleet. By driving more electric kilometers, the operational costs of electric vehicles are lowered and they will be able to financially compete with diesel buses. The outcome of the collaboration between ViriCiti and Fraunhofer IVI is battery stress-factor evaluation reports. These reports do not only indicate the factors that exert the most stress on a vehicle's battery, but they also provide advice on ways to improve in order to prolong the battery's life. Read all about the battery-stress evaluation reports on ViriCiti's Newsroom;
