Proposal phase

What is the goal of the project?

To create a sound garden with sound sculptures and instruments in unactivated space in Marineterrein.

What is the result of the project?

The space around the heliveld is under-utilized and uninviting, and we hope to activate it with this sound garden.

To make the heliveld feel more welcoming, and invite visitors to stay and play.

Who initiated the project and which organizations are involved?

The project is proposed by Tian Daphne, a vocalist and recording artist living in Kattenburg. We will collaborate with SVARAM, a sound research institute in south India.

What is the next step?

The next step is to reach 50 likes so the proposal can move ahead to the feasibility phase on Centrum Begroot.

What can other cities learn from your project?

There are affordable ways to revitalise public space. By inviting people to stay, it creates safer space and adds social value.
