At A City Made By People, we celebrate those who are making an impact on Amsterdam's livability. Whether that be a local venture, a bustling start-up, or passionate citizens! We invite three speakers each month to take the stage and share with us what they do and the passion they pursue.
For our last event of the year, Ed. #23 is coming and the cheers are proud and jolly (yes, it's that time of the year again). Our line-up of speakers this time is:
- Cornelia Dinca of Amsterdam Smart City
Amsterdam Smart City helps transfer Amsterdam’s knowledge and experience as a smart city internationally. This Wednesday, Cornelia will share with us her insights as the Founder of Sustainable Amsterdam, as well as her work on energy, climate change, and urbanism.
- Roy Cremers of voordekunst
voordekunst supports and encourages entrepreneurship among artist and art institutions, offering them a platform to showcase who they are and what drives them. Roy will share with us stories of its venture in becoming the largest donation-based crowdfunding platform in the country!
- Jetske Voorneveld from AKWAMAN
As a special treat we also invited Jetske Voornevld from AKWAMAN, a Dutch/African clothing line using voordekunst to kick-start the love of two worlds through fashion!
- Jan Truijens Martinez of VOUW
Last but not least is design company VOUW, who is currently exhibiting their City Gaze installation at the Amsterdam Light Festival this year. Not only will Jan tell us more of City Gaze, but he will also share with the crowd how VOUW creates art with technology.
Our speakers will start at 19.00, but doors open at 18.30. Come meet us sooner for a little chat! Other than that, you'll be joining us on the rooftop floor of Zoku, where there will be an amazing view of Amsterdam's cityscape.
