This lament raises the question what is meant by smart city development. As it comes from 'tech experts' it is probably the technology driven smart city narrative that is referred to. Fortunately, many cities have rejected this way of thinking that equals de wellbeing of cities and investments in technology. Holding back this kind of smart city development only can be applauded.
