AI and Big Data City Council Trial

Featured image

Citibeats is a start-up based in Barcelona and we have been awarded funding to launch a proof-of-concept (lasting one month) with a limited number of cities - at no cost to the city organisation.

Our software leverages AI and Big Data to promote a more responsive, transparent and inclusive governance; providing governments with accurate situational analysis and prioritisation of solutions in a city.

We have been recognised by the UN, European Commission and NTT Data for our work in this area (see the video below for more info): https://youtu.be/JlqFpgUIJMQ

Do you want to listen to your citizens’ voices?
Do you want to empower them to create actionable change that will improve the city?
At Citybeats, we are seeking launch partners to pioneer a new model for creating sustainable and engaging communities.

What is the goal of the project?

Citibeats merges AI with Big Data to enable governments to have more effective responses to citizen concerns.

Our platform analyses any language-based data sources to map the issues of a city and prioritise solutions - rewarding citizens that engage through a blockchain-based technology.

We promote a more responsive, transparent and inclusive governance; providing governments with accurate situational analysis and prioritisation of solutions in a city - unlocking the power of citizens to better serve in their mandates.

What is the result of the project?

 Citibeats enables city leaders to strengthen their relationship with citizens by listening and responding to their concerns. It provides them with direct access to insights on issues that are significant to the community.

 Enabling them to:

  • Identify the most relevant social problems

  • Focus resources and measure results

  • Improve government efficiency and accountability

  • Measure civil unrest in conflict areas to plan accordingly

  • To obtain information about citizen/tourist perceptions to improve the quality of life of its citizens and visitors by managing the services commissioned by the City Council efficiently, being proactive, adding value to service management and optimising social performance and economic profitability

Who initiated the project and which organizations are involved?

The Social Coin

What is the next step?

We are implementing a Proof of Concept in a limited number of cities across the world. We are aiming to onboard 10 cities for POCs.

What can other cities learn from your project?

  • The city can extract concrete initiatives to apply in the region thanks to Citibeats' information. This data collection and analysis techniques and be applied to cities throughout the world - with lessons on sustainability, community and accountability being shared globally
