Our Online Mission flies to India on Thursday 11 June at 9 AM (CET). Where we meet Mr Kunal Kumar, Joint Secretary & Mission Director (Smart Cities Mission), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. He is leading a mission to accomplish 100 smart cities in 5 years – connected, liveable, energy efficient, adaptive and resilient cities. What lessons can we learn from India and which smart city opportunities are there for businesses. Councilor Mrs Saskia Bruines (i.a. Smart City) of the city of The Hague (the Netherlands) opens the online event.

You are right. As far as I know the issue still is in how the current budgets cope with the huge growth of the urban population.
