You are invited to the first SPARK! event of this year, where we will be discussing the implementation of Circular Economy and the achievement of positive climate impact along the electronics value chain. What better place to hold this event than Fairphone’s creative workspace, located inside one of the famous Pakhuizen of Amsterdam.

Challenges of the electronics industry
A panel of expert speakers of the field -including Miquel Ballester, Product Manager and Fairphone co-founder- will share their experiences, providing us with great insights regarding the current challenges that the electronics industry is facing and what will be the potential circular solutions in the way forward. Sustainable procurement, product design and e-waste management will certainly be in the agenda!

19:15-19:45 Panel discussion: “The challenges of the electronics industry towards the transition to a Circular value chain; the role of sustainable procurement, product design, business models, and e-waste management”

19:45-20:30 Breakout sessions: Workgroups lead by the panelists will develop and present their proposals for “The 10 commandments of Circular Electronics”

The “Fairphone disassembly challenge”; how fast can you dismantle it?

Interactive sessions to meet and connect
You will also have the opportunity to meet and connect with members of the entire Climate-KIC community- including members of the Alumni Association- as well as other like-minded professionals, entrepreneurs and students! Help them to develop the fundamental principles of Circular Electronics during the breakout sessions and join the New Year’s festive drinks, where you can test your skills and win the “Fairphone disassembly challenge”!
