While the Virtual Power Plant in Amsterdam with 50 home batteries is still ongoing, and a 'neighbourhood battery' in Rijsenhout was launched in the last months of 2017, already a new battery project pops up.
In one of the rental buildings for senior citizens of housing corporation Woonbedrijf in Eindhoven, a smart solar system is installed, providing energy for the central areas and the elevator. Surplus solar energy is stored in a local battery for 48 hours or less. This reduces the annual bill and the CO2 emmission significantly.
