The Startup Hero Journey program offers a series of inspiring sessions, masterclasses and events from late May to October that immerse you in the world of innovation and entrepreneurship. In our pre-accelerator program, you will not only develop your entrepreneurial potential under the guidance of experts and experienced mentors, but you will also discover new perspectives and join a network of like-minded entrepreneurs. Prepare for a journey that transforms your business and contributes to a more sustainable future.

In Almere en de provincie Flevoland vinden de grootste gebiedsontwikkelingen van Nederland plaats zoals Hortus, Pampus, Zuidoever. Om echt toekomstgericht te kunnen bouwen en als voorbeeld te dienen voor de rest van Nederland, organiseren zij de Green Innovation Hub contest ’24. In deze competitie worden organisaties uitgedaagd om met digitaal gedreven toepassingen te komen op het gebied van duurzame energie, mobiliteit of slim wonen.

Ben jij een start-up, scale-up of een innovatief kleinbedrijf (MKB), en heb jij een digitaal gedreven toepassing op het gebied van duurzame energie, mobiliteit of slim wonen? Is jouw oplossing klaar om verder te groeien, te versnellen en op te schalen? Een oplossing waarmee jij echt impact kan maken? Doe dan mee met de Green Innovation Hub Contest ’24.

Op 6 maart wordt op basis van de ingezonden video-pitches een selectie gemaakt van de tien bedrijven die worden uitgenodigd voor het Green Innovation Hub Café. Op woensdag 17 april vindt de Contest Day plaats, tevens de officiële opening van de GIH 3.0 op de 9e verdieping. Tijdens dit evenement zullen de 10 deelnemers hun pitch presenteren, met een maximale duur van 4 minuten. Na de pitches krijgt de jury de gelegenheid om vragen te stellen. De winnaar wordt door experts verder geholpen en begeleid.

We are looking for parties with experience with mobility, accessibility, mobility as a service, city logistics & delivery, autonomous vehicles, willing to think together or collaborate in a research by design project on the impact of e-commerce and remote working on future urban space and street design.

We are urban experts, with strong interest in mobility-related topics and a passion for creating more inclusive and sustainable living environments. We are in the process of submitting an application to the following grant: Ways to Wellbeing.

When:
Call for applications is open until Sep 30th. The program will last from Oct 2022 until Feb 2023.

What:
The AMS Startup Booster is a business idea development and validation program hosted by AMS Institute, aiming to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn their gut feeling into a business. The entrepreneurs are expected to pursue an impact-driven startup in the field of urban tech.

Lasting over 4-months, the AMS Startup Booster 2022-23 will start on Oct 2022 and run until Feb 2023. The program will be hybrid, mainly physical at the AMS Institute (Marineterrein, Amsterdam). The program is most effective when all teams are fully committed so during the aforementioned time period there is a minimum requirement of 16 hours per week for each startup.

Program:
The program consists of more than 12 workshops focusing on customer discovery and problem-solution fit. During these workshops, the following topics will be addressed:

• Research Fundamentals & Problem Definition
• Market Segmentation & Customer Personas
• Customer Discovery
• Value Proposition & Business Model Design
• MVP Design & Prototyping
• Experiment Design
• Pitching

In addition, our complimentary masterclasses will cover topics such as <strong>Team Fit & Alignment, Marketing & Branding, IP Rights, Finance & Funding</strong>, and many more. Peer-to-peer sessions and 1-on-1 coaching will complete the free services we offer to the selected startups. In total, the startups will get a 360 entrepreneurship curriculum consisting of more than 30 workshops & masterclasses.

Demo Day: Pitch and win prizes during the 'finals'
We close off the program with a Demo Day during which the teams showcase their business ideas and prototypes to a broad audience of experts, investors and entrepreneurs and compete for a list of amazing prizes! Prizes include:

• Guidance on the design of your feasibility experiment in the Marineterrein Living Lab
• Access to a 5000 euros feasibility grant
• Access to follow-up programs & funding opportunities
• Additional customer discovery sessions
• Continuous coaching & mentoring
• Office Space & Makerspace
• Promo material & access to a large network

In addition, connections with other programs and potential investors will be made.

We are looking for ambitious students, researchers and young professionals who have an awesome business idea that could impact city life and solve metropolitan challenges. Please note we are looking for teams not a single founder.

The Dutch embassy in Seoul is inviting (online and, if possible, offline) Dutch companies to the Netherlands Pavilion at the World Smart City Expo in South Korea from 8 to 10 September! You can register and participate for free to have your company promoted during the expo.

The embassy can represent you in the Netherlands Pavilion with your own brochures, videos, posters and other promotional material. You can also participate in other online business activities around the fair. If the current travel restrictions for South Korea (2 weeks quarantine) are lifted, you can of course also participate physically.

Dutch-Korean Smart city cooperation

Various missions, a Government-to-Government Memorandum of Understanding (G2G-MoU) and smart city awards have brought Dutch and Korean activities in the field of smart city closer together since 2018. Smart cities are an important growth market. Partly for this reason, the Netherlands is very well represented with its own pavilion at the World Smart City Expo 2021 in Seoul.

For whom?

Participation is interesting if your company is active in the field of energy-neutral construction ('zero energy building'), smart mobility ('smart mobility') or urban agriculture ('urban agriculture'). It doesn't matter if you are a start-up, want to seize international opportunities for the first time, or are already active internationally.

(junior) Communicatie- en programmamedewerker

Amsterdam Smart City is een onafhankelijk innovatieplatform dat innovatieve bedrijven, kennisinstellingen, overheden en proactieve bewoners samenbrengt en vorm geeft aan de stad van de toekomst.

Wij zijn ervan overtuigd dat de veranderingen die nodig zijn voor de vooruitgang van de stad en regio alleen gerealiseerd kunnen worden door samen te werken. Al onze activiteiten zijn daarom gericht op het faciliteren van ontmoeting, interactie en samenwerking, zodat partijen samen tastbare, duurzame innovaties tot stand kunnen brengen. Amsterdam Smart City richt zich met name op deze vier thema’s: mobiliteit, de digitale stad, energie en circulaire economie. Met het Amsterdam Smart City team zorgen we voor verbinding.

Wat ga je doen?
Je voert de communicatie- en communitystrategie actief uit door het maken van content, het schrijven van nieuwsbrieven, beheren van onze social media kanalen en het organiseren van events. Je bent veel in contact met de partners en andere organisaties binnen het netwerk van ASC.

Daarnaast werk je met onze partners aan het aanjagen van innovaties binnen het transitiepad Mobiliteit & Logistiek en legt verbindingen met de community. Ook breid je het netwerk uit met relevante organisaties en innovatieve projecten. De communicatie- en programmamedewerker werkt nauw samen met het gehele smart city team en legt verantwoording af aan de communicatiemanager. Daarnaast heb je een aantal programma ondersteunende taken.

Taken
• Je beheert onze social media kanalen, geeft inzage in de statistieken en onderneemt actie op basis van de data.
• Je onderhoudt het dagelijks contact met de leden van onze community op www.amsterdamsmartcity.com
• Je verzamelt, schrijft, redigeert en publiceert content voor de community en andere stakeholders.
• Je organiseert en draagt bij aan evenementen voor partners en ons bredere netwerk in de regio en communiceert hierover.
• Je coördineert, onder begeleiding, je eigen transitiepad: Mobiliteit & Logistiek en monitort voortgang van projecten en legt verbindingen.
• Je verbindt, mobiliseert en activeert partners en communityleden
• Je voert ondersteunende programma taken uit, zoals het vormgeven van presentaties en zorgdragen voor documentatie en het bijhouden van het CRM systeem.

Profiel:
• WO/HBO werk- en denkniveau
• Opleiding op gebied van communicatie of vergelijkbaar
• 1-2 jaar werkervaring
• Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels in woord en schrift
• Ervaring op het gebied van online communicatie, community management en/of projectondersteuning
• Affiniteit met innovatie en stedelijke ontwikkelingen, met het thema Mobiliteit & Logistiek in het bijzonder
• Type aanpakker, zelfstandig, communicatief sterk en flexibel.
• Gedreven in het creëren van maatschappelijke waarde

Wat bieden wij?
Wij bieden je een fijne werkplek op het Marineterrein in Amsterdam, met een informele en collegiale sfeer. Op dit moment werken we uiteraard veel thuis. We zijn een klein team (6 personen) waarin we nauw met elkaar samenwerken. We werken intensief samen met een grote groep gedreven mensen die zich inzetten voor een duurzame stad en regio, voor iedereen. Het is een regionale, nationale én internationale werkomgeving waarin je eigen inbreng en pro-activiteit zeer gewaardeerd worden.

We zoeken iemand voor 32-40 uur per week.  Salarisindicatie o.b.v. 40 uur: €2.900 - €3.400 bruto excl vakantiegeld en eindejaarsuitkering. Wij bieden een jaarcontract met uitzicht op een vaste aanstelling.
