Creating a 'vertical forest' together with schoolchildren in Amsterdam-Noord

Featured image

Thursday the 8th of March 2018 the pupils from group 7 and 8 of primary school ‘De Zeven Zeeën’ will plant small trees in small pots. The trees will be given away for free to the residents of nearby apartmentbuildings, to create a ‘vertical forest’.

This event starts at 11:00 and is situated in front of the school (Banneplein 111).

For every tree planted on a balcony here, a tree is planted in the developing world to combat desertification. We do this together with the local farmers to help make their lands fertile again. In effect farmers can improve their living and bring more products to market.
